Dixie Outfitters is your Elite Outfitter for your South Louisiana outdoor experience. Venice Louisiana is where we call home. Our company was established in 1994 and is owned and operated by a 2nd generation Captain, Patrick Dickinson, whose family is 4th generation native to Buras, Louisiana.
Here at DRC we fish and hunt all of Southern Plaquemines Parish, from Venice to Pointe-a-la-Hache, in the marshes on both the east and west side of the Mississippi River. At DRC we specialize in inshore salt water shallow fishing, guided duck hunts, fly fishing, marsh and eco tours, and offshore blue water and rig fishing. Our mission is to provide our clients with a safe, fun-filled, satisfying adventure. DRC is a Full Service Outfitter offering lodging, meals, & Hunt/Fish combo packages. Large corporate groups can be accommodated as well as families, smaller groups of anglers, or even the solo adventurer.
Every year, as a guide, I must learn to adapt to an ever-shifting marsh environment. To this end, I give my all to fishing. I specialize in the inland saltwater trifecta...Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. Using both artificial and live baits, I traverse the bayous and bays bordering the Gulf of Mexico half the year. I catch limits of specks in the Spring and early Summer, limits of Reds all Summer and Fall, and Flounder during the late Summer and early Fall months. But you never know what you may catch at any given location! Red snapper, Spanish mackerel, mahi-mahi, freshwater catfish, striped bass, and largemouth bass have all landed in the bottom of my boat on occasion. I truly live in a Fisherman's Paradise.

Terms:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to book any charter. The remaining half is due at time of arrival for the charter trip. There is a 30 day cancelation policy to reschedule any charter booked. Any charter that is not rescheduled prior to 30 days before the scheduled charter trip's date will loose and forfit their deposit. No acceptions. Credit cards are accepted as a form of payment but there is a 10% convenience fee added to the top of the final bill amount.
